Salesforce Developer

Summary

The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for developing, customizing, and optimizing Salesforce applications to meet the needs of the business.

This role involves working closely with stakeholders to design and implement solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other Salesforce technologies.

As a certified Salesforce Developer, you will ensure best practices are adhered to while building scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Salesforce Development & Customization
  • a. Design, develop, and implement custom solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other Salesforce tools.
  • b. Customize standard Salesforce functionality (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.) to meet business requirements.
  • c. Develop and maintain triggers, classes, and batch processes to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
  • d. Implement custom Visualforce pages and Lightning components for enhanced user interfaces and functionality.
  • a. Develop and manage integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools, or third-party integrations.
  • b. Implement data sync and real-time integrations to streamline business operations across platforms.
  • c. Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure data accuracy and consistency across all connected systems.
  • a. Develop automation tools using Salesforce Process Builder, Flow, Workflow Rules, and Apex to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • b. Design and implement custom workflows, approval processes, and task automation for business-critical processes.
  • c. Work with business users to understand process requirements and develop technical solutions that address gaps.
  • a. Ensure the secure design and development of applications with respect to Salesforce's security model, including user permissions, profiles, and data visibility.
  • b. Perform data migrations and manage the data import/export process while maintaining high levels of data integrity.
  • c. Monitor, debug, and optimize existing solutions to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • a. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in compliance with Salesforce best practices and governance limits.
  • b. Conduct peer code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and security policies.
  • c. Stay updated on Salesforce platform developments and new tools to continually improve the technical stack.
  • a. Work collaboratively with functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service) to translate business requirements into technical specifications and functional solutions.
  • b. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • c. Manage multiple development projects and ensure timely and successful delivery within scope and quality expectations.
  • a. Develop and execute unit tests to validate functionality and performance.
  • b. Perform debugging and troubleshooting on custom code and integrations to resolve system issues.
  • c. Ensure that code adheres to Salesforce’s testing and deployment requirements and passes quality checks before release.
  • a. Apply and test Salesforce platform upgrades, patches, and new feature releases to ensure continued compatibility with business processes.
  • b. Maintain and enhance existing Salesforce applications by continuously improving their functionality, performance, and scalability.
  • c. Keep up to date with new Salesforce technologies and best practices.
  • a. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation of customizations, integrations, and application architecture.
  • b. Document coding standards, technical specifications, and deployment procedures for internal use.
  • c. Provide technical support and training to team members and other stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (PD1) is required.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (PD2) is a plus.
  • Additional Salesforce certifications (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with hands-on development in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Proven experience with Salesforce integration tools and platforms (REST, SOAP, middleware tools).
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.).
  • Experience with Salesforce automation tools like Process Builder, Flow, and Workflow Rules.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced development environment with a focus on delivering scalable solutions.
  • Proficient in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP) and integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce development tools like Visual Studio Code, Salesforce CLI, and Developer Console.
  • Experience with Git and version control systems for source code management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce development.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce development.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) for engaging with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical peers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
